Marquetry Mania Sideboard

Marquetry of various colors and patterns are placed within the wedges of pleated 4 wood doors. Calacatta marble is added on top surface to give it more weight and a nice contrast to the main body of the sideboard. This is a playful and contemporary interpretation of the traditional handcraft technique of Marquetry. Strips of different colored wood are hand inlaid to create a break in the geometric pattern or applied to pleated walnut wood.
